This video will look at product design and process development. Product design is clearly an essential aspect for the development of any business. If the product design does not accord with customers’ requirements, then clearly that business is in trouble. It is also the case that businesses need to have processes, for example production, in place that are appropriate for the types of output required by their customers. This may sound straight forward but the greater the integration between the production process is, and the product design, and the customers’ requirements, then clearly the more successful the business will be.
To survive, companies need to innovate and ensure that the product design meets customers’ requirements. It is also important that costs are controlled, all these factors should be considered when assessing process developments.
